Glossop has long runs of Victorian terraces and semis, plus a good deal of newer housing. The terraces tend to have generous rooms with original features still in place, and a lot of them have been rented out at some point, which usually means several quick coats over the top of each other.
Where paintwork has been built up over the years without being flatted back, you get a soft, rippled finish that never looks right. Sanding that back properly is time-consuming and it's the single biggest difference between our quote and a cheap one.
