The property in Buxton
Buxton is a town of big Victorian and Edwardian houses with tall ceilings, deep skirtings, picture rails and sash windows, mixed in with stone terraces and a lot of newer estate housing out towards Fairfield and Harpur Hill. The older properties are lovely to decorate and slow to do properly, because the mouldings are deep and almost nothing is straight.
The other thing about Buxton is the weather. It's one of the highest market towns in England and exteriors take a beating, so we're careful about when outside work gets booked and what goes on the render.
